Lighting Concepts was awarded Shade Project of the Year for 2015 by Lutron Electronics. The awards honor lighting showrooms that provide an immersive experience for customers to see and feel Lutron products. Winners were recently announced at an award dinner at the Dallas Market Center in Texas.
Lighting Concepts submitted work recently completed at a newly constructed home in Harpswell, ME. The homeowners wanted to take advantage of the stunning ocean views through custom size windows, many reaching floor to ceiling. Dan Engelhardt, VP of Operations at Lighting Concepts and lead designer in automated shading, provided the owners with a custom solution that allows the shades to disappear within the window casings when not in use, as well as be controlled by either switches or through apps on a smartphone or tablet.
“As consumer interest in connected home technology grows, we are extremely proud to recognize and support Lighting Concepts’ effort to promote simple, affordable, and reliable light, shade, and temperature control solutions,” said David Weinstein, Vice President, Residential Sales at Lutron.
